The book is titled 1Q84 and was written in 2011 by Haruki Murakami, a
prestigious and famous Japanese writer. The book is divided into two clear
themes: mystery and love. The story has a clear point of thriller and mystery,
and on the other hand, there are many passionate and sentimental emotions along
the story.
The story plot is based on the lives of two people who are surrounded living in an imaginary world. The story’s background is a big criticism to the sex
addiction, to the world of religious sects, to abuse and to corruption.
The two main characters are Aomame and Tengo. They are two young people
about 30 years old or so, trying to overcome their fears and their insecurities
from a very strong link that joins them.
What I liked most of about the book is the strong criticism of towards our society.
Clearly, the author reflects a world full of injustices and dangers.
I totally recommend the book because it is very interesting. It makes
you spend entertaining moments, in despite the fact that there are moments in which, the
author explains things that are too obvious and this makes that the story loses
a bit of mystery and spark.
