Exams are a good way of measuring students knowledge
Exams have been always a fast and effective way to know if a studient have understand and learned the lesson given. However there are some people who disagree this method. My opinion is exactly the same. There are a lot and the reason is because there are other less heavy.
Firstly, the students have a lot of work when they arrive home, like homework of different materias, and if they have an exam one week after I'm sure that they will pay more attention to study and not to work. And therefore do not apply the lesson, but learn it by heart.
Secondly, can exams mesure what you have leared? Not really. Think about this: it is better to apply every day what you learn and evaluate the work done in class, and not to pretend that in one hour the student can write on paper all he has learned, why? There are bad days and worse days.
On the other hand, exams are more effective in the way that the teacher can be more precise at the time of the evaluation. In the exams teachers can see if the studients, for example, made ortografic faults, such as the manner in which they are expressed.
To sum up, the exams are not a good way to measure students knowledge because students can have a bad day and forget about all the lesson. There are a lot of maners that teachers can use to measure the knowledge of the students.
