Giant pandas.
Giant pandas live in forests whit a dense understory of bamboo, which is almost their exclusive aliment. This bamboo forests are located in central-western and south western of China, at elevations between 5,000 and 10,000 feet.
Giant pandas have a typical round body of bears and they are very easily recognized because they have black fur on ears, eye patches, muzzle, legs, and shoulders. The rest of the animal coat is white. A male giant panda stand between one and one and a half meters tall and weighs up to 100 kilograms.
They are generally solitary animals, but they communicate periodically with other pandas trough scent marks, calls and occasional meetings. Pandas spend all the day eating bamboo and only stop for sleeping.
The destruction of their natural habitat is a serious threat to gorillas, the bamboo take a long time to grow and they need it to eat. Another problem is the hunting of these animals.
The panda’s requirements are very restrictive, they only need large bamboo forests, so they have their base aliment. Besides, the wildlife organizations have to control panda’s contact with humans to lower their hunting.
