Review of a book

One of the best books I have read is Angels & Demons, by Dan Brown. It was written in 2000 and revolves around the conspiracies of secret societies and the Catholic Church. It is one of the best fiction thrillers written by the American author and also has also an adaptation film released on in 2005.

The plot follows a Harvard symbologist, whose name is Robert Langdon. Langdon tries to stop the Illuminati, a legendary secret society, who want to destroy the Vatican City with the newly discovered power of antimatter.  He counts with the help of Vittoria Vetra, who is the adoptive daughter of the creator of the antimatter.

I enjoyed this story because the book provides the reader with plenty of surprises. The mixture of religious and historical elements adds a unique twist to the mystery and it is a fast paced page turner.

To sum up, it is a thrilling story that has a combination of fiction and history. If you are interested in secret societies and in the Catholic Church, you may read this book.

Very good!
